Darryn is a Mining Engineer with a Bachelor of Engineering from the West Australian School of Mines as well as other business and professional qualifications. He has over 40 years of government, business, technical and engineering experience working on mining operations, projects and strategy across the world.
For the past decade he has focused on mining’s role in delivering the global energy transition with minimal harm to peoples and the environment. This has involved having an active role leading the development of countries’ critical minerals strategies and free trade agreements to the development of satellite monitoring technology capable of identifying and measuring tailings dam movement.
Darryn now leads an international business unit in one of the world’s largest engineering companies tasked with engineering and building the required critical minerals infrastructure ranging from mining to battery active materials manufacture and recycling.
