Governance
The Commission is overseen by an Investor Steering Committee which is collectively responsible for the long-term success of the initiative.
The remit of the Steering Committee includes:
- Formation of the Commission, appointment of a multi-stakeholder membership and ensuring delivery of mission
- Ensure necessary Commission funding and budgetary controls
- Receive the Commission conclusions and establish a 2030 implementation programme
The Steering Committee membership consists of:
- Church of England Pensions Board, Council on Ethics for the Swedish AP Funds, Baker Street Capital, Brunel Pension Partnership, Ninety-One, Orion Resource Partners, ACSI and PRI.
- The Steering Committee is also attended by the Commission Deputy Chair, Barend Petersen, Representative of the Archbishop of Cape Town.
In attendance in advisory capacity:
- Representative from UN Environment Programme (UNEP)
